Interview with Casper Glasius-Nyborg, Infrastructure-as-a-Service

Four thousand consultants, which together hold 7,500 technical certifications, are a testimony to their strong skills and profound understanding of the complex nature of IT infrastructure. Thanks to their experience and competencies, Atea consultants are able to design, implement and run the most complex IT solutions.
For the last 12 years, Atea has been cooperating with TRUSTZONE concerning their own digital certificates and those of their clients.
Atea uses TRUSTZONE Managed SSL for their certificates. This is primarily because the platform allows new certificates for pre-validated domains to be issued instantly. For clients, Atea uses TRUSTZONE Customer Portal.
“Previously, we did not have a substantial agreement with a partner concerning digital certificates. Back then, the clients had to buy their own certificates. We would then provide guidance concerning which certificates they needed and how they should be installed. It was extremely inconvenient, expensive and time-consuming,” says Casper Glasius Nyborg, manager of the department Infrastructure-as-a-Service at Atea.
Thanks in part to TRUSTZONE, Atea is now able to offer digital certificates as a natural part of the infrastructure that the company designs, builds and runs for its customers. One advantage of the TRUSTZONE Customer Portal is that an individual consultant can register new clients and issue the necessary certificates extremely quickly.
“The portal is always available. It is user friendly, offers a good overview of the customer’s certificates and indicates when they need to be renewed,” says Casper Glasius-Nyborg.
The Vetting team consists of the TRUSTZONE employees that validate the customer’s certificates. When certificates are issued, the validation step is often the most time-consuming, as the process may require signatures from the organisation’s management.
“This is where Sune really helps us to get things moving. Vetting is also effective when things need to go quickly,” says Casper Glasius-Nyborg.
According to him, the cooperation with TRUSTZONE “works very well”.
“We are never just a number in a queue, which would be the case if we used a large certificate authority. We get the attention we need. When we are uncertain about which solution to propose to the customer, Sune (Atea’s assigned adviser – Ed.) is always ready to spar with us. We receive extremely qualified advice very quickly,” says Casper Glasius-Nyborg.
